She knew it was perplexing to him sometimes why she enjoyed him so much. But it would confuse her as to why he wouldn't enjoy this closeness now that they were getting used to it.

She didn't mind that he didn't offer much for conversation, because she knew he wasn't trying to fill empty space and that he meant whatever words came out of his mouth. After being surrounded by people who were paid and trained to lie, that meant something to her.

"I like being close to you." She answered. "Also, this is something I share only with you. It's just us two, no distractions. It also feels good."
